At Mammoth Lake Texas, we believe protecting the underwater world begins with education, experience, and responsible stewardship.
Sea Center Texas introduces visitors to Texas marine life through its aquarium exhibits, fish hatchery, education programs, conservation work, volunteer opportunities, and community outreach. Whether you are a new diver, an experienced ocean explorer, or a family visiting Lake Jackson, Sea Center Texas offers another way to connect with the aquatic world.
Join one of the most active and versatile volunteer groups within the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Each month, approximately 150 volunteers donate their time to serve as Sea Center Texas ambassadors. Volunteers guide tours, welcome visitors, assist with special events, share knowledge about Texas marine life, help maintain the site, and build support throughout the community.
This dedicated group forms the heart of Sea Center Texas and has received recognition both individually and as a team for excellence in service.

The minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old.
Volunteers younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults Supervision is 16+.
Volunteer applicants must consent to a criminal background check.
Volunteers should be willing to provide at least seven hours of service each month.

Donations help support marine education, conservation programs, visitor experiences, aquarium exhibits, hatchery operations, and community outreach.
Every contribution helps Sea Center Texas serve visitors, support fish hatchery operations, protect marine resources, and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards.
