Professional development starts by getting in the water. Mammoth gives qualified Sea Aggie divers the access, equipment, opportunities and community to turn required dive numbers into meaningful experience.
Dive more. Build experience. Arrive at Divemaster training better prepared.
Come back throughout the semester and keep diving. Build logged dives, confidence and open-water experience without paying a lake-entry fee every time you return.
Air fills for qualifying program dives are included throughout the semester, removing one of the recurring costs of building your dive count.
Mammoth tanks and weights are available for qualifying program dives, reducing the amount of equipment students need to own or transport.
BCD, regulator and dive computer are available when needed. Equipment is limited and must be reserved in advance.
Work toward the logged-dive requirements for Divemaster while gaining meaningful open-water experience instead of simply chasing numbers in a logbook.
Navigation • Limited Visibility • Buoyancy • Dive Planning • Gas Awareness • Buddy Skills • Task Loading • Problem Solving
Participate in a minimum of three professional-development seminars each semester, with opportunities for mentoring, Mammoth projects and interaction with working dive professionals.
A strong Divemaster is built through experience, not just a logbook. This program gives Sea Aggie divers a place to dive regularly, develop together, learn from one another and become part of the greater Texas diving community.
Some dives will build specific skills. Some may involve a Mammoth project. And sometimes the best development is simply grabbing a buddy, getting underwater and adding another meaningful experience to your logbook.
Mammoth's role is simple: help you arrive at the TAMU-G Divemaster Program with more dives, more experience and greater confidence.
