ERDI Public Safety Diving
Public Safety Diving Is More Than Just Diving!
The Mammoth Dive Academy certifies police, fire, and other first responders in Public Safety Diving (PSD) through Emergency Response Diving International (ERDI) in search and rescue techniques used exclusively in the submerged environment.
ERDI programs are designed to train front line departments on how to create, grow, and maintain PSD teams to serve the public interest. In addition to being NFPA, OSHA, and FEMA compliant, ERDI is the only public safety dive training agency that has its own insurance and endorses its own standards.
Technical Rescue
The Mammoth Dive Academy ERDI instructors are a diverse group of professionals that are part of active Tier 1 dive teams that provide indepth public safety diving training that prepares dive teams to not just meet minimum standards, but to prepare them for the challenges faced in search and recovery operations. The techniques taught are proven methods that produce successful outcomes and teaches team members to work together within the public safety diving community.
Dive Operations
The Mammoth Dive Academy strives to create a dive commuity that puts safety first within our ERDI training programs. There are no "short-cuts" allowed in the training of PSD teams, when mastery of skills is necessary to keep the team safe and prepared for the difficult tasks they are challenged with during dive operations. To assist in maintaining properly trained dive teams, we can review your current dive program to check compliance with NFPA and OSHA standards and offere training and equipment suggestions to meet the team needs.
Mammoth Dive Academy (MDA) Annual Training Seminar
Each year MDA holds a 4 day seminar on advanced techniques and equipment used in the PSD arena of operation. We hold the seminar in Lake Jackson, Texas at Mammoth Lake Texas, which is the largest dedicated scuba park in the nation. MLT offers over 150 sunk attractions, the largest being a USAF C-130 aircraft that provides an opportunity for endless training scenarioes.
