Our mission is to serve and support Veterans, First Responders, and their companions by providing them with the opportunity to become lifetime certified scuba divers; through specialized training, community engagement, and ongoing support, we empower these heroes to explore the underwater world, promoting healing, resilience, and camaraderie while honoring their commitment to service and sacrifice!

DV8, Inc. is a 501c(3) non-profit that was established by Texas Veterans to serve Texas Veterans and First Responders that have service connected injuries or injured in the line of duty, the ability to explore the undersea world and heal themselves through diving and camaraderie. In addition to Veterans and First Responders, DV8 is open to their families and companion buddies.

The 8 in DV8 represents the community we serve from the Air Force, Navy, Marine, Army, Coast Guard, Police, Fire, and Paramedics. The service member is encouraged to bring a buddy to the program with no additional cost to them. As Veterans ourselves, we stand behind our motto: "You've done enough, your first dive is on us!" and that includes the dive buddy as well!

The DV8 program is designed for Veterans, First Responders, Dependants, or Dive Buddy that is not currently scuba certified, to have an opportunity to become certified at no cost to them. If you are already a diver and want to participate, please fill out the volunteer application or contact us via email, to obtain information on our upcoming events. Both divers and nondivers are always welcome to join us at DV8 events both in the water and at the surface! We look forward to welcoming you to the DV8 community.
